Render is one of the most vulnerable exterior surfaces in the West Midlands climate. North-facing elevations in particular — common on newer estates and properties with limited sun exposure — accumulate green algae and black mould within a few years of installation. Left untreated, organic growth embeds into the render surface, staining it permanently and accelerating deterioration. Oakleys Exterior Cleaning uses a specialist soft-wash approach for all render types — K-Rend, monocouche, silicone render, and painted sand-and-cement. The biodegradable treatment is applied at low pressure, killing organic growth at the root and lifting staining from the surface without the risk of water ingress or physical damage that high-pressure cleaning can cause on render. We assess every elevation individually before starting, and we advise on the expected result based on the severity and type of staining.
